The aim of the course:
Contents of the CourseFamily, interior activity of house. House, environment and garden. Function diagrams of houses, individual house, mass house, holiday village, schools, university campus, marketing (shopping) centre, industry buildings, air port. Administration buildings and their function diagrams. The basic design approaches of environment of buildings depend on their interior functions

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : analyze and define the types and the relationship of a buildings (especially a house) interior and exterior functions and evaluate the type of activities according to these functions.1,24
LO - 2 : design a house with its environment including circulation system and entrance.1,24
LO - 3 : design a house in which they can live by emulating natural forms.1,25

Contents of the Course
Objectives of the CourseTo teach students the interior activity of house and the basic design approaches of environment of buildings depend on their interior functions

 Week 1The relationship of landscape architecture with other disciplines in context of objective and materials.
 Week 2The content and aims of architectural design, the concepts of different functions, buildings with different functions and their environments.
 Week 3Development plans, block, parcel, housing concepts. Students will draw the plans of their house in scale of 1/100
 Week 4Settlement patterns in development plans, projecting buildings. Students will adjust and redraw the parts of their houses which they don?t like.
 Week 5Professional-client relationship, function scheme of a house, students will start to shape their house without any limitation. Building house-environment relationship, giving a name to their house.
 Week 6Settlement patterns of housings in urban texture, the relationship of house-outdoor environment and the relations that must be taken account in environmental design, the house designed by students.
 Week 7The relationship of house and its outdoor environment and space formation inside the house and its equipments, the house designed by students, criticism.
 Week 8Mid-term exam
 Week 9Buildings with different functions and the factors influencing their environmental designs. Public housings and holiday villages, the house designed by students, criticism.
 Week 10Hotels-motels and their surroundings. The house designed by students, criticism.
 Week 11Education buildings, kindergartens and their surroundings. The house designed by students, criticism.
