The aim of the course:
The course aims to provide the student with a general knowledge on urban spaces and urban furnitures, to classify urban furnitures according to their space furniture relations and to give application knowledge about the usage and design of urban furniture in constructing urban spaces.

Contents of the Course
Urban space and urban furniture. Design measures of urban furnitures. Classification of urban furnitures. Urban furniture related to infrastructure. Enlightenment elements, information-communication and sign panels, telephone boxes, bus stops for public transportation, square watches, water elements. Urban furniture not related to infrastructure: sitting elements, waste baskets, plant holders, sheltering elements, paving, bicycle parks, tree grids, play ground elements, evaluation of visual and functional relations of urban furniture with space. To develop choosing and deciding about urban furniture which are the most suitable for the space. Different urban furniture used in various urban spaces in the world.
