The aim of the course:
The main purpose of the course is to give specific knowledge about native and nonnative Gymnosperm plants in Turkey and their ecologic and functional characteristics for landscape architecture.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : learn importance of Gymnosperm plants and their differences from the other plants.3,41,3

LO - 3 : identify a plant when they see them in Turkey or abroad by looking at parts of the plants.3,41

Contents of the Course
Introduction of all plant world, importance of the plants having seeds, difference between gymnosperm and angiosperm plants, the terms flora and vegetation, floral parts of Turkey, families (Cycadacea, Ginkgoaceae, Taxaceae, Pinaceae, Araucariaceae, Taxodiaeceae, Cupressaceae, Cephalotaxaceae, Ephedraceae, Welwitschiaceae, etc. ) , the terms genus, taxa, variety, etc. , habitus of the plants and their usage in landscape architecture.
