The course content consists of two parts; static and strength. Static part: basic principles of the stati; Vector algebra and force vectors, force and moment concept, equilibrium in rigid bodies; Center of gravity and moment of inertia, trusses and beams and friction. The strength part is; Tensile strain, mechanical properties of materials, tensile strength, compressive strength, shear strength, bending strength, torsion and buckling strength. |
