Contents of the Course
Importance of bonding for wood based composits, forming of wood-adhesive bonds, structure of wood-adhesive bonding system, theories of bonding for wood, adhesion and cohesion concepts, comparison of bonding with other mechanical binders, pre-process of bonding for wood, factors affecting bonding strength, methods for improving bonding strength and application of these methods to wood based materials, surface tension and its importance for bonding, determination of surface free energy on wood, natural and syntethic glue resins for wood, choosing of adhesives for application areas, determination of bonding strength.
