Introduction, definition and purposes of machining, thecniques and types of machining. Structures and geometry of cutter, chip types, cutting formation and criterias for determining surface quality. Factors effecting machining quality. Machining defects and elimination. General structures of woodworking machines. Traditional and computerized insutrial woodworking machines. Sawing, cutting, planing, routing, turning, boring, mortise-tenon, sanding and mounting machines. Feed speeds, cutting speeds and computations of yield on machines. |
