Lumber drying theory. Factors effective on drying period. Drying defects, measurement and precaution. Drying basis and schedules in kiln. Special drying methods: High temperature drying, centrifugal drying, chemical drying, high frequency drying, drying with organic substances, infrared drying, vacuum drying. Steaming methods and steaming cellars. Air drying. Accelerating techniques for air drying. |
