The aim of the course:
The definition of the forest, forest types, the importance of the forest, undesirable and useful properties of wood, and requirement properties of wood related to the applications, microscopic, macroscopic and chemical structures of wood, wood defects, forest products, Engineering Ethics

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : define and explain the importance of tree, forest and wood8,91
LO - 2 : Formulate the moisture content, density, physical and mechanical properties of wood8,91
LO - 3 : Solve the some problems during manufacturing of wood products from defected woods8,91
LO - 4 : determine the end use applications of wood and wood products related to the anatomical, and chemical properties of the wood.8,91
LO - 5 : Analyze the flow diagram of wood products manufacturing such as match, pencil, parquet, palette, package box, wood flour, wood gas and wood briquette8,91
