The aim of the course:
The main objective of this course is to explain the factors that helped Turtkiye to shape its foreign policy tradition and the historical evolution of Turkish foreign policy while stressing on Turkiye's national interests and the international that it is a member of. The other objective of the course is to help the students to comprehend the basic issues of Turkish foreign policy, the transformation of the foreign policy objectives of Turkiye in the wake of regional- transnational problems and to see whether Turkiye helped solve or escalate the conflicts.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : Understand the basics, important issues and turning points of the Turkish foreign policy.1,3,5,11,14
LO - 2 : Comprehend the historical evolution and change processes that helped form the diplomatic trends and the political structure of contemporary Turkiye. 1,2,3,4,6,13,14

Contents of the Course
Basic analysis of Turkish foreign policy in terms of political, historical and diplomatic aspects. A historical evaluation of the diplomatic, economic and political factors that helped shape the political structure of Turkiye in regards to its geostrategic position.
