The aim of the course:
By the end of the semester, students will be able to: 1. Identify and examine their linguistic beliefs and attitudes about language; 2. Use linguistic terms and concepts appropriately; 3. Demonstrate familiarity with interdisciplinary linguistic areas (pragmatics, sociolinguistics, neurolinguistics, historical linguistics, anthropological linguistics, applied linguistics); 4. Apply tools and techniques for linguistic analysis and recognize the organizing principles of language by examining these analyses; 5. Analyse linguistic data.
