The aim of the course:
To teach students the transportation policies and their results in developed countries, such as US, Australia, European and Esat Asian countries, so that they acquire the knowledge of successful and unsuccesful transportation policies worldwide, criticize the current transport policies in our cities and metropolitan areas, and determine the policies that can be applied to our cities that were already successful at international arena.

Contents of the Course
In this course, the problems of transportation in cities and metropolitan areas in developed countries, the effects of transportation on cities and livability, dilemma in urban transportation policies, urban-transportation relation, transportation policies and practices in developed countries, common misconceptions in urban transportation, transportation policies for livable cities, basic principles for planning and implementation of balanced transportation, transport issues in city planning are explained.
