The aim of the course:
Course is aims to introduce the tunnels and underground structures, provide information on the construction and design methods.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : describe the necesarry situations for tunnels and application principles of them.3,51,

Contents of the Course
General information about the tunnels, classification, required inspections for the construction of the tunnel, tunnel construction according to soil of the route, problems in the tunnel constructions, tunnel linings, Loads and load effects on tunnel, empirical methods used in structural analysis of tunnel linings, analytical methods, used in structural analysis of tunnel linings, numerical methods used in structural analysis of tunnel linings.
