The aim of the course:
The aim of this lesson is to help students understand between linguistics and relation of it with them , present its research fields and methods and finally enable students do researches.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : Students will be able to recognize and differ between grammar and linguistics 3,5,7,8
LO - 2 : Students will gain an understanding into the perspective of linguistics to the language and the reinterpretation of language material.2,5,7,8
LO - 3 : Students will be able to do interdisciplinary study and gain the relevant qualification.2,3,7,8

Contents of the Course
Course content; an overview of linguistics and history of linguistics, principles of linguistics and traditional grammar, definition of linguistics, its scope, fields of study, methods and relations with other branches of science; branches and types of linguistics, basic concepts and principles; It consists of linguistic movements and their representatives.
