The aim of the course:
Equip students with adequate knowledge about the birth, end and importance of Servet-i Fünun in Turkish literature, Servet-i Fünun's poetry and prose features, the main representatives and their works of the period and develop students' ability of penetrate the literary texts in the style of characteristics of the period, inform students about the artists who produced in the same period but did not included and their works.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : Recognize the historical, political and social ground that Servet-i Fünun literature based on,1,6,7,81,3,
LO - 2 : Learn Servet-i Fünun aesthetics of poetry and prose (language, manner, style, subject, theme) with all characteristics,1,6,7,81,3,
LO - 3 : Introduce Servet-i Fünun's poets mainly Tevfik Fikret and Cenab Şahabettin with their characteristics and works,1,6,7,81,3,
LO - 4 : Introduce Servet-i Fünun's prose writers mainly Halit Ziya, Mehmet Rauf and Hüseyin Cahit Yalçın with their characteristics and works,1,6,7,81,3,
LO - 5 : Intorduce Hüseyin Rahmi Gürpınar who lived in Servet-i Fünun period but not included and his works.1,6,7,81,3,

Contents of the Course
Historical, political and social conditions that Servet-i Fünun artists lived, the main characteristics of the formation and termination of Servet-i Fünun literature, great artists (Tevfik Fikret, Cenab Şahabettin) and the works they produced. Representatives of major prose types (Halit Ziya Uşaklıgil, Mehmet Rauf). The artists who produced in the same period with Servet-i Fünun but did not included and their works
