The aim of the course:
To comprehend the importance of air conditioning and related processes. To know parameters affecting to refrigeration load sources and comfort, indoor air quality conditions. To comprehend the basic operations applied to moist air, to show them on psychrometric diagram and to do the necessary calculations. To know summer and winter comfort air conditioning steps and to show on the psychrometric diagram.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :

 Week 4Calculations of thermal load.
 Week 5Performing a practical calculation of thermal load for an environment whose architectural measurements are given.
 Week 6Classification of domestic air conditioning systems description of their assembly and working principles.
 Week 7Understanding the basic concepts of psychrometry,
 Week 8Understanding the basic concepts of psychrometry,
 Week 9Mid term exam
 Week 10Determining the values of relative humidity, absolute humidity and dew point that are belong to humid air, on a psychrometric diagram.
 Week 11Thermodynamic operations on a psycrometric diagram (humidification, regain, heating and drying)
 Week 12Application of summer air conditioning and showing it on a diagram
 Week 13Application of winter air conditioning and showing it on a diagram.
 Week 14Classification of the systems with Fixed and variable air flow rate and explaining of their working principles
 Week 15Classification of water cooled and air cooled systems and explaining of their working principles.
