The aim of the course:
The aim of this course is to introduce students to the science of statistics and to introduce them to the general concepts of data science such as data collection, data visualization, analysis of statistical series, regression analysis, correlation, hypothesis testing.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : form the frequency table of data set.1,2,3,41,
LO - 2 : determine the mean, mode, median, variance and standard deviation for the data set using the frequency table.1,2,3,41,
LO - 3 : draw the histogram and the other graphs for the data set.1,2,3,41,
LO - 4 : determine the simple linear regression model for the data set.1,2,3,41,
LO - 5 : test hypothesis for the mean. 1,2,3,41,

Contents of the Course
Basic Concepts in Statistics, Statistical Series, Graphical Analysis of Statistical Series, Measures of Central Tendency and Variability, Bivariate Data, Simple Linear Regression Analysis, Correlation, Hypothesis Testing (Significance Check), The Chi-Square Test for Homogeneity and Independence, Hypothesis Testing for the Mean.
