The aim of the course:
The main objectives of this course are to provide the student with a clear presentation of the basic concepts and principles related to mechanics and electromagnetism of physics

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : apply the concepts of scalars and vectors in problem solving2,6,9,101,
LO - 2 : solve problems dealing with force and motion, do experiments dealing with linear motion, freely falling objects, and projectile motion and to explain the results of experiments.2,6,9,101,
LO - 3 : solve problems involving the concepts of energy, work, and power and do experiments dealing with Newton Law, forces of friction, and friction constant of surfaces to explain the results of experiments.2,6,9,101,
LO - 4 : solve problems involving time, distance, velocity, and acceleration in circular paths2,6,9,101,
LO - 5 : dicuss the electric fields, Gauss's law to apply to different problems2,6,9,101,

 Week 5Circular motion and other application of Newton's laws
 Week 6Work and kinetic energy
 Week 7Potential energy and conservation of energy.
 Week 8Linear momentum, collisions, centre of mass and the solution of problems associated with the subject.

 Week 10Rotation, torgue and angular momentum. The solution of problems associated with the subject.
