The aim of the course:
Laboratory courses and exercises aim to equip the student with basic molecular biology techniqes and use modern techniques to reinforce Molecular Biology lecture material.

Contents of the Course
Preparation of bacterial medium and bacterial culture, screening of antibiotic resistant genes in bacteria, isolation of genomic and plasmid DNA, isolation of protein, determination of quantity and purity of nucleic acids and proteins, electrophoresis of nucleic acids and proteins, restriction endonucleases and their usage, gene cloning, transformation and expression, polimerase chain reaction and applications.Laboratory exercises may require additional time outside of the scheduled lab hours.
