The aim of the course:
The objectives of the course is to develop basic laboratory skills of the students on classic and modern genetics and to reinforce the understanding of students on genetics I and II course material

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : demonstrate the ability to do crosses with Drosophila and evaluate the results 1,2,4,61,

Contents of the Course
Biology, reproduction and life cycle of Drosophila (fruit fly), polytene chromosomes in Drosophila, monohybrid and dihybrid crosses and statistical analyses of the results in Drosophila, DNA polymorphism and fingerprint polymorphism in human, molecular and chromosomal sex determination in human, mitosis and meiosis in plants, karyotype analyses, up-to-date methods in genetics.
