The aim of the course:
To present an overview of animal physiology with a thoroughly comparative approach, to investigate the organ systems of animals and their control, systems (nervous, endocrine), with an emphasis on how these systems have evolved and allowed organisms to inhabit various ecological environments. and to understand the basic principles and mechanisms of all animal systems with a physiological approach

Learning OutcomesCTPOTOA
Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : Basic knowledge of how animals adapt physiologically to environmental challenges11,
LO - 2 : Describe basic aspects of membrane transport, and the roles of diffusion, passive transport, and active transport in establishing the composition of fluid compartments11,
LO - 3 : Basic knowledge of metabolism and the role of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats as metabolic substrates 11,
LO - 4 : Describe the structural and functional relationships of animal organ systems including the digestive, circulatory, excretory, endocrine, and reproductive systems11,
LO - 5 : Describe the roles of the nervous and endocrine systems in regulating other organ systems. Be familiar with endocrine and neuronal cellular signaling mechanisms11,
LO - 6 : To be able to document the methods and results each laboratory exercise and organize laboratory data. 11,
CTPO : Contribution to programme outcomes, TOA :Type of assessment (1: written exam, 2: Oral exam, 3: Homework assignment, 4: Laboratory exercise/exam, 5: Seminar / presentation, 6: Term paper), LO : Learning Outcome
