Historical devolopment of Turkey?s geological background. Classification and definitions of major tectonic units of Turkey. Metamorphic basement rocks of pre-Mesozoic age. Major orogenic periods and their subphases affected Anatolian region. General stratigraphy of characteristic locations in each tectonic unit and their correlations. Understanding the lithological features of Karakaya Complex and its place in tectonic history of Turkey. Neotectonics elements of Turkey. |
