The aim of the course:
To introduce the relationshipbetween the Semantics and other science branches. To make them understand the basic concepts of Semantics. To maket them comprehend the subjects of the sedate and developmental Semantics To teach the characteristics of Turkish in terms of Semantics.

Contents of the Course
The relationship between Semantics as a sub-head of Linquistic and philosophy,logic,psyhcology. the sub-heads of Semantics: 1)sedate semantic;word,concept,content;synonymy,antonymy,homonymy polysemy; 2)developmental semantics:meaning change ,meaning widening ,meaning narrowing ;phrase transfer,noun transfer and the similar word arts.. Themes are taught by doing meaning analysis on the history of Turkish Language and contemporary texts .
