When compared with history it is seen that the discipline of IR has not an ancient past as history. However, it is not wrong to say that; during the last century one of the most effective sciences steering and shaping inter-state relations is IR and its norms. With its distinctive aspects IR has an inter-discipliner format. Though it is a comparatively young science with its curriculum in Turkey is the roof of International Law, Diplomatic History and IR main branches. If we assume that IR is a tripod or a structure consisted of three pillars, International Law and Political History are the two pillars or legs of this science. This two sciences have older tradition than IR and also independently from IR have their own development. |
