The aim of the course:
Chemical principles that are particularly important to analytical chemistry. Fundamental principles of qualitative and quantitative chemical analysis. Theoretical basis of the gravimetric and volumetric analytical methods and some applications.

Contents of the Course
Introduction to analytical chemistry, Importance and role of analytical chemistry in science, Classifications of analytical methods, Chemistry of aqueous solutions, Chemical equilibrium, Effect of electrolytes on ionic equilibria, Thermodynamic and concentration equilibrium constants, Activitiy and activity coefficients, Complex equilibria systems and calculation of solubility problems in complex systems, Separations of ions by precipitating agent, Gravimetric methods, Calculation of the gravimetric measurements, Properties of precipitates and precipitating agents, Introduction to titrimetric analysis.
