The aim of the course:
To recognize PLC systems that are widely used in industry. To choose the most suitable programmable controllers for the system. To understand the structure and working logic of programmable controllers. To detect malfunctions in the system by analyzing the PLC program and to gain the competence to interpret the given problem and develop solutions with PLC programming.

Contents of the Course
Recognizing and installing control circuits. Realization of classical control circuits with PLC. PLC overview, PLC hardware and software, PLC Selection and usage areas, how PLC works, PLC programming and programming languages, S7-200 PLC hardware and MicroWin/32 software, S7-1200-1500 PLC hardware and TIA Portal software, Bit operations, Timers, Counters, Move commands, comparators, special memory elements, Real time clock operations, Arithmetic functions, Shift-Rotate operations, Analog operations, Program Control operations, communication interfaces and protocols, logic circuit design techniques. Program control commands. Performing cutting operations.
