The aim of the course:
Land management and administration in protected areas, the related and responsible institutions on these fields and the problems arising from this, the identification and registration of protected areas, ownership and planning processes in protected areas, land use decisions developed in the long-term planning process and the related problems, problems arising in grading protected areas and determining boundaries, conservation-related development plans and application problems caused by them, land management practices in protected areas, land readjustment, urban renovation( especially in plateau), transferring the ownership right coming from zoning/development plan, technical-legal and institutional analysis of existing problems in protected areas, the development of views and the presentation of solution approaches in relation to all these issues, will be provided within the scope of this course..

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
PO - 1 : learning the areas, which are inspired by a wide variety of different legislation because of the private ownership or public ownership or non-ownership, in case implementation of land management practices;
PO - 2 : Knowing the role of different institutions in the management of each field and introduction of these institutions
PO - 3 : Identification of protected areas, registration, analysis of the situations in the planning process, and their effect on land management practices
PO - 4 : Current problems at the application stage; technical, legal and institutional analysis, reporting of results
CTPO : Contribution to programme outcomes, TOA :Type of assessment (1: written exam, 2: Oral exam, 3: Homework assignment, 4: Laboratory exercise/exam, 5: Seminar / presentation, 6: Term paper), PO : Learning Outcome

 
Contents of the Course
In the process starting with the identification and registration of Protected Areas, setting out the situation and the importance of these areas in different land management practices, investigation of interoperability among the institutions, review of existing applications
