The aim of the course:
To examine the properties and calculation methods of macroscopic systems by making use of the microscopic properties of these systems.
 
Learning OutcomesCTPOTOA
Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : Macroscopic properties of materials such as pressure and temperature are derived from structures at the microscopic level.2,3,61,
LO - 2 : Learn that the bridge between macro structure and micro structure is established with the help of statistical physics.2,3,61,
LO - 3 : The basic principles of thermodynamics are briefly reiterated and form the basis of the statistical physics necessary to obtain macroscopic features from microscopic features.2,3,61,
LO - 4 : Calculate the macroscopic properties of the material by making calculations on the microscopic scale and gain the ability to understand the physics knowledge underlying modern technological developments (superconductivity, transistors, ...) caused by quantum effects.2,3,61,
