The aim of the course:
To learn about typefaces, letter anatomy, typographic layout. To develop new solutions with fonts and to be able to design fonts with font design software.
 
Learning OutcomesCTPOTOA
Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : Knows the history of writing and its development as a graphic design product.6
LO - 2 : Recognizes writing faces and letter anatomy.6
LO - 3 : Makes font design and font selection suitable for the purpose. 6

Contents of the Course
To learn writing characters, quoted and untagged writing styles. To learn letter anatomy. Pay attention to letter and line spacing. Develop creative approaches to textual arrangements. Produce new fonts. To make improvements on existing fonts and to learn the font making software.
