The aim of the course:
It is aimed to teach the undesirable, harmful and negative consequences of environmental, occupational and natural exposure to chemical substances, biological and physical factors on living organisms and the environment.
 
Learning OutcomesCTPOTOA
Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : Recognize the poisons in the air.11,
LO - 2 : Gains knowledge about substance abuse and drug abuse.11,
LO - 3 : Defines the toxicological action mechanisms of metals, defines their usage areas and exposure routes.11,
LO - 4 : Classifies pesticides, defines toxic effects mechanisms.11,
LO - 5 : Classifies the factors that cause food poisoning, defines the toxic effects mechanisms.11,
LO - 6 : Learns the effects of radiation on human health and protection.11,
LO - 7 : Explain the adverse health effects that may occur due to animal bites and stings and the precautions to be taken.11,
LO - 8 : Defines endocrine disrupting chemicals and has knowledge about toxic effect mechanisms.11,

Contents of the Course
In the Pharmaceutical Toxicology-II course, information will be given about airborne toxicants, metals, pesticides, drug-substance addiction and the toxic effects of natural origin factors, based on the basic topics of toxicology explained in the first semester.
