The aim of the course:
The aim of this course is; the basic properties of drugs acting on the autonomic nervous system and cardiovascular system, the mechanisms of action, structure-effect relationships, synthesis and biotransformation. * Lab: The aim of the course is to give theoretical knowledge and application examples about the separation and purification methods of drugs to the students. In addition, students are also working on pharmacopoeial analysis with the identification of metabolites of some drug molecules. Students who take this course are expected to gain theoretical and practical experience in controlling the separation and purity of the mixture in the laboratory

Learning OutcomesCTPOTOA
Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : analyse the structure-activity relationships of drugs acting on autonomous nervous system. 3,4,5,91,4,6,
LO - 2 : debate the structure-activity relationships and chemical analyses and syntheses of drugs acting on cardiovascular system. 3,4,5,91,4,5,6,
CTPO : Contribution to programme outcomes, TOA :Type of assessment (1: written exam, 2: Oral exam, 3: Homework assignment, 4: Laboratory exercise/exam, 5: Seminar / presentation, 6: Term paper), LO : Learning Outcome
