The aim of the course:
To teach general introduction to the concepts of pharmacology; drugs used in treatment of infectious diseases and cancer.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : classify the pharmaceutical forms and routes of administration for drugs. 6,7,91
LO - 2 : discuss pharmacodinamic and pharmacokinetics of drugs.6,7,91
LO - 3 : knowledge on the indication, contrendication and side effects of wide range of antimicrobial drugs including antibiotics, antifungals, antivirals and also antineoplastic drugs.6,7,91

Contents of the Course
Introduction to basics of pharmacology including pharmacokinetic (absorption, distribution, metabolism and elimination) and pharmacodynamics (mechanisms of drug action dose-response relations, and quantitative analysis of drug action) principals; basics of pharmacogenetics; factors that change drug action; introduction to chemotherapeutic agents- use, side effects, contrandications (antimicrobials and antineoplastic agents).
