The aim of the course:
The definition of pharmaceutical chemistry, history, effects of physicochemical and structural properties of drugs on activity, drug-receptor interactions, metabolism reactions of drugs and its importance in terms of drug development; general anesthetics, sedatives and hypnotics, tranquilizers, neuroleptics, centrally acting muscle relaxants and local anesthetics from central nervous system drugs and their classification, synthesis reactions, structure-activity relationships and metabolites.

Contents of the Course
Introduction to pharmaceutical chemistry and general concepts, biotransformation of drugs, structure-activity relationships, QSAR, receptor-drug interactions, drug organism and pharmacokinetic principles, drug design and new drug development. Central nervous system drugs: general anesthetics, sedatives and hypnotics, tranquilizers, neuroleptics, centrally acting muscle relaxants and local anesthetics.
