Definition of plant tissue culture, application areas, requirements of tissue culture laboratory (medium and culture conditions, sterilization techniques), tissue culture types (callus, cell suspension, anther/microspore, protoplast, embryo, meristem), in vitro plant regeneration methods (organogenesis, somatic embryogenesis), secondary metabolite production (basic principles, necessary conditions, economic importance), use and importance of bioreactors, summary of current studies are given. |
