Course Syllabus
Prenatal diagnosis and fetal surgery, The endocrine and metabolic response to pediatric surgery, Fluid and electrolyte management, respiratory and cardiovascular considerations, Nutritional support, Intestinal-Vascular-Intrathoracic-Peritoneal-Tracheal-Genitourinary Procedures, Thoracic injury, Abdominal and Genitourinary trauma, Tumors, Bronchoscope, Congenital Anomalies of the lung, Infections of the lung, Congenital abnormalities of the esophagus, Esophageal stricture, rupture and perforations, Gastroesophageal reflux disease, Abdominal wall defects, Inguinal and scrotal disorders, Congenital diaphragmatic hernia, Hypertrophic pyloric stenosis, Duodenal obstructions, Rotational anomalies and volvulus. Intestinal atresia and stenosis, Meckel's Diverticulum, Duplications of the gastrointestinal tract, Necrotizing Enterocolitis, Short-Bowel syndrome, Intussusception, Lower gastrointestinal bleeding, Appendicitis, Hirschprung's Disease, Anorectal disorders, Biliary atresia, Choledochal Cyst, Gallbladder disease, Renal disorders, Pyeloureteral obstruction, Urinary tract infection and vesicoureteral reflux, Extrophy of the urinary bladder, Ambiguous genitalia.
Multiple choice exam (50%) , oral exam (50%). . Students should receive at least 60 out of 100 points for each exam.
