The aim of the course:
To give basic informations about Alevism and Bektashism in Turkey.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : To understand and the place of Alevism and Bektashism in Islam
LO - 2 : To understand how and why Alevism and Bektashism have emerged
LO - 3 : To analyse the impact of Alevism and Bektashism on Muslims
LO - 4 : To learn the basic principles of Alevism and Bektashism

The emergence and development of Alevism. Basic beliefs and practices in Alevism. Alevi Institutions and their relations with other groups. Alevi writers and Intellectuals.
