The purpose of this course is to familiarize students with necessary research skills and methods employed in the field of social sciences, specifically ELT. The course provides an introduction to the research process and basics of a research proposal in the related field. |

The course will cover (but not limited to) the topics as follows: scientific knowledge, scientific research process, goals of scientific research, how to plan a research, different research traditions employed in social sciences, different types of data collection methods and tools, reporting a research proposal. |
