The aim of the course:
The course aims to give the students basic information about the following: i) Explaining American foreign policy through international relations and foreign policy theories; ii) Understanding periodical divisions in the history of American foreign policy and the conditions and events that divide these historical periods; iii) Understanding the American foreign policy decision-making process through the analysis of key institutional actors; iv) Explaining the historical and theoretical aspects of American relations with other international actors such as Russia, China, the European Union, Israel and other Middle Eastern countries; v) Analyzing Turkish-American relations in theoretical and historical ways.
