The aim of the course:
The purpose of this course is primarily to present basic concepts related to nature conservation and in this way raise students consciousness about the importance of conservation, secondly, by examining the development of nature conservation in Turkey and in the world enlighten students about the current conservation policies as well as giving them knowledge about the characteristics of natural and cultural resource values. In addition to these, another aim is to teach students what needs to be done in terms of conservation precautions and the methodologies towards the planning of natural area

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : learn the basic concepts related to nature conservation and the benefits of protected areas. 1,3,4,51
LO - 2 : compare the new methodological approach and the new master planning approach in planning and managing modelling of protected areas.3,4,51
LO - 3 : learn how the natural and cultural environmental values that constitute it could be used in conservation planning approach1,5,63
LO - 4 : with the projects and applications they carry out in the course, learn how natural and cultural values should be interprete in the scope of National Park Planning 2,4,54
LO - 5 : discuss the conservation policies of Turkey and the European Union. In addition, students will be involved in discussion of the role of Non-Governmental Organization and Official Organizations (National and International) in terms of protection nature4,5,66
