The aim of the course:
To examine the networks which are formed by the geodetic points in a region or the whole of earth in terms of the networks shapes and purpose. .
 
Learning OutcomesCTPOTOA
Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : know geodetic coordinate systems and geodetic networks.
LO - 2 : have knowledgeable about 2D and 3D geodetic control networks used in Turkey
LO - 3 : learn how to be constituted triangulation, levelment, gravity and GPS networks
LO - 4 : do densification of GPS network as practical.
LO - 5 : interpret Turkey geoid and they will be able to interpret importance of geoid.
CTPO : Contribution to programme outcomes, TOA :Type of assessment (1: written exam, 2: Oral exam, 3: Homework assignment, 4: Laboratory exercise/exam, 5: Seminar / presentation, 6: Term paper), LO : Learning Outcome

Geodetic coordinate systems, Global geodetic networks, National geodetic networks, Local geodetic networks, 2D and 3D geodetic networks, Triangulation networks, National basic levelling networks, Gravity networks, National Basic GPS Netwoks, Turkey geoids.
