The aim of the course:
To establish an understanding on both the theory and practice on Database Management systems.

Contents of the Course
Database Management systems (DBMS) ; Fundamentals, DBMS architecture and DBMS functions. Database schema and instance. . Data models; Conceptual data models, implementation (logical) and Physical data models. Entity-Relationship model. Entity, and relationship concepts. Database Design; Conceptual design with Entity-Relationship model. Relational data model. Database design with relational model. Relational algebra and SQL. Term Project; Database design and application program development in Microsoft Access DBMS.
