In this context, it is given theoretical and practice information about height and geoid concepts, height types, relation among the height types, geometric leveling, cross sectioning, longitudinal sectioning, trigonometric height difference determining methods.

Thus, they will apprehend necessity of this course for their occupation.

| Fundamental concepts and definitions. Leveling and leveling types. Geometric height definition, Levelling canavas and drawing. Taking of longitudinal and cross sections. Surface leveling. Precise leveling. Vertical angle measurement and trigonometric height determination. Height difference measurement with slope distances. Height difference measurement with reciprocal vertical angle observations. Barometric levelling. Tacheometry. Drawing of contours and features of contours.
