The aim of the course:
The aim of the course is to provide general information on city and urbanization, urban theories, urbanization and industrialization, urban land and housing sector, basic dinamics of urbanization in Turkey.

Contents of the Course
Urban theories; theories concerning the emergence of cities, theories of urban spatial structure, theories of urban growth, optimal city size theories, contemporary theories to explain the city, world city or global city theory, globalization and cities, urbanization policies and sustainable urbanization, rant theories and urban land, contemporary debates related urbanization and city; gated communities. gentrification, urban regeneration projects.
