The aim of the course:
Determination of exact value which is the nearest value to real value of unknowns (values having highest probability, adjusted values) by using data more than necessary number, determination of accuracies of exact values or their functions.

Learning OutcomesCTPOTOA
Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : understand that each geodetic observation contains error and imagine the necessity of adjustment calculations.1,8
LO - 2 : calculate accuracies of measurements and their functions and can evaluate how much we can reach real value.1,2
LO - 3 : constitute stochastic model by calculating variance-covariance matrices according to type of measurements.1,2
LO - 4 : learn Theory of Error Propagation and calculate accuracies by applying to functions of measurements1,5
LO - 5 : constitute stochastic and mathematic models in adjustment calculations according to type of measurements.1,5
LO - 6 : calculate and interprete exact value and mean square error of exact value and its function by means of adjustment of direct measurement with Least Squares Method.1,2,3,5,7
LO - 7 : calculate and interprete exact value and mean square error of exact value and its function by means of adjustment of indirect measurement with Least Squares Method.1,2,3,5,7
CTPO : Contribution to programme outcomes, TOA :Type of assessment (1: written exam, 2: Oral exam, 3: Homework assignment, 4: Laboratory exercise/exam, 5: Seminar / presentation, 6: Term paper), LO : Learning Outcome
