The aim of the course:
This course is intended to inform students on important issues related to topics such as learner needs analysis; writing learning objectives; curriculum planning; syllabus functions and design; parts of a class and stages of a lesson; lesson planning; grouping strategies; classroom discourse; mistakes, feeback and assessment; and proficiency descriptors and standardized teaching and how these impact the teaching and learning process. In addition, students will develop practical skills in these areas through hands-on assignments and projects.
