The aim of the course:
To give information about the classification of advanced periodontal diseases, etiology of periodontal diseases, factors affecting the periodontium and treatment planning.

Contents of the Course
Classification of advanced periodontal diseases, etiology of periodontal disease,microbiology of periodontal diseases, genetics factörs associated with periodontal disease ,immunity and inflamasyon: basic konsept, smoking and periodontal disease,microbial interactions with the host in periodontal diseases, molecular biology of the host-microbe interaction in periodontal diseases,host modulation, therapeutic strategies disrupting host-cell signaling for treatment of periodontal disease, key charecteristics of spesific periopathogens, microorganisms associated with spesific periodontal diseases.
