The aim of this course is to provide students with the skills and knowledge to select and use of various measurement devices, to analyze and interpret data

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : understand importance of the measurement and use systems of units.4
LO - 2 : realize measurement errors and apply uncertainty analysis.4

Basic quantities which can be measuring in metallurgical process, Measuring units and other ranks, Basic fundamentals of measuring, General look to the measuring devices, Measuring devices and failure, Failures and their sources, Investigation of failures, Decreasing of failure effects, Uncertainty analysis, Displacement and area measurement, Weight, tempearture and density measurement, Pressure measurement, Flow rate measurement, Velocity measurement, Roughness measurement, Force, torque, strain measurement.
