The aim of the course:
To introduce and endure the metallurgical and materials engineering profession and the fields of specialization in metallurgical and materials engineering to the high school graduates accepted to the program as new students, and to introduce the KTU Metallurgical and Materials Engineering program and to increase students' motivation for the department.

Contents of the Course
Introduction of the KTU Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Program and the regulations. Fundamental concepts, Principal application areas of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering. Engineering ethics. Feeling of being in the profession by sharing experience of the alumni and colleagues and be motivated.
