Students are expected to learn the laws, regulations, and ethical principles governing pharmacy activities in Turkey and to understand the legal, financial, and administrative responsibilities associated with opening, operating, and managing pharmacies. Furthermore, students are expected to learn about basic accounting concepts, financial statements (balance sheet and income statement), and the double-entry bookkeeping system used in pharmacy businesses, and to be able to effectively apply this knowledge in pharmacy practice. The course also aims to develop students' ethical, professional, and communication skills by introducing current practices in pharmacy business and management, the pharmaceutical industry, hospitals, pharmacies, and patient relations. |

| The course covers pharmacy legislation and related laws, regulations, and ethical principles in Turkey. Fundamental concepts related to pharmacy operation and management, including administrative processes such as pharmacy opening, transfer, auditing, and closure, as well as basic business and accounting terminology, accounting documents used in pharmacy businesses, and financial reports such as balance sheets and income statements are examined. The course also covers the double-entry bookkeeping method, pharmacy inventory and financial management, and effective communication methods with employees and patients in pharmacy businesses. By introducing current practices in pharmacy, hospitals, and the pharmaceutical industry, the course helps students understand regulatory, business, and ethical responsibilities from a holistic perspective. |
