The aim of the course:
It aims to provide an ecologically based perspective for sustainable environmental planning and management by analyzing the relationships between the biotic and abiotic elements that make up the landscape at a spatial scale.

Learning OutcomesCTPOTOA
Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : By examining fundamental abiotic-biotic interactions, the structure of the landscape can be defined using scientific criteria.41,
LO - 2 : By assessing the types of environmental pollution, their causes, and their effects on ecosystems, they can develop appropriate solutions at the landscape scale.41,
CTPO : Contribution to programme outcomes, TOA :Type of assessment (1: written exam, 2: Oral exam, 3: Homework assignment, 4: Laboratory exercise/exam, 5: Seminar / presentation, 6: Term paper), LO : Learning Outcome

Contents of the Course
The definition, scope, and systematic structure of landscape are addressed, and the position and functions of landscape are evaluated at various landscape scales. The necessity of survey and analysis studies for the resolution of landscape ecosystems, the relationships between abiotic and biotic factors that constitute the structure of the landscape, the classification of plants according to climate types, Turkey's main plant communities, environmental pollution issues, the fundamental causes of pollution, and its effects at the landscape scale are discussed.
