| Relativity; The principle of relativity, Einstein's principle of relativity and results, the Lorentz transformations and relativistic momentum and energy. Introduction of Quantum Physics; Blackbody radiation, the photoelectric effect, the Compton effect, Atomic spectra and Bohr's model of the atom. Quantum mechanics; Photons, the wave properties of particles, the double-slit experiment, the uncertainly principle, a particle of the box, the Schrödinger equation, the problems of the well and the barrier. Atomic Physics; Early models of atom, the wave function for hydrogen. Quantum numbers, the exclusion princle and the periodic table, and lasers. Molecules and Solids; Molecular Bonds, the energy and spectra of molecules, bonding in solids, band theory of solids, Radioactivity and Natural Radioactivity, Nuclear Fision ve Fusion. |
